VIEW HealthBit LI: AG Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup organic pumpkin puree
  • ½  small banana (or ¼ large)
  • ½ cup frozen spinach (or 1 cup fresh spinach)
  • 1 cup water (or more for thinning)
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond or coconut milk
  • 1 tbsp almond butter or sunflower seed butter
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 heaping tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp raw honey (local preferable)
  • ¼ tsp nutmeg (optional)
  • 1 scoop plant based protein powder (I use Metagenics UltraClear Plus or Vega)
  • Ice (about ½ cup recommended)

 

Directions:

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender of your choosing (I like Vitamix), starting on a lower setting and slowly moving to top speed
  • Add ice a few cubes at a time until desired consistency is met
  • Pour and enjoy in one sitting, preferably as breakfast replacement
    Makes 20oz
