VIEW HealthBit CXXXVI: AG Slow Cooked Pulled Chicken

(N.B. Organic, fair trade, free range, non-GMO, gluten free/dairy free ingredients recommended)

Ingredients
3 lbs boneless chicken breasts (cleaned and trimmed)
1 bottle barbecue sauce (18oz)
2 tbsp mustard
1 tbsp garlic powder
¼ cup coconut sugar (or brown sugar)

Directions

  1. Pour bottle of barbecue sauce into the slow cooker
  2. Add garlic powder, mustard, and sugar
  3. Mix well
  4. Add chicken and thoroughly coat with mixture
  5. Cook on high for four hours or low for eight hours
  6. When fully cooked, pull apart the chicken in the crockpot, mixing in all the juices
  7. Serve on lettuce wraps or buns (and/or garnish with coleslaw or corn)
