Everyone has a different comfort level with getting out of the house these days. No one can dispute, however, that sunshine, and fresh air are good for the human body. Therefore I think it’s incredibly important to make sure you get out in whatever fashion you deem safe for you.
Here are some ideas for getting out if you’re having trouble doing so. At this point, I think it’s safe to say we should all have a mask on us just in case. However, in situations when it is just you, your loved ones and Mother Nature, I think it is incredibly important to do some breathing of fresh air, not of the recycled air inside your mask. That being said, here are some simple ways to get outside:
- Take a walk around your neighborhood or complex. Going early in the morning will help ensure you encounter less people if that is a concern
- Take a yoga mat out onto the deck, balcony or patio and do some yoga or stretching in the fresh air
- Visit a local park in the evening, when there are likely less visitors
- Find a hiking trail near you and explore some new terrain
- If you want your time outside to be functional as well, there’s always yard work!
