VIEW HealthBit LXIII: New Year’s Intentions

At the very beginning of 2018 we looked at the definition of intention, and why it far surpasses a “resolution”. As a reminder, a resolution is a “firm decision to do or not do something” while intention is defined as an “aim or a plan.” What we realized was that, intentions are goals with powerful, uplifting emotions behind them.

In hope of inspiring you to think of your intentions for the New Year, I wanted to share mine, and what I already have in place to make them a reality.

In 2019 I intend to:

  1. Get myself and my family more involved with charitable work (to that end I have my charity chosen and a plan in mind)
  2. Do more consistent yoga (a new studio is opening in a town over from mine and I already bought a package)
  3. Save money more efficiently (I downloaded an app to help in that capacity)
  4. Clean out closets (I have a truck scheduled to come to the house Friday January 18th)
  5. Stress less (I have already been doing more breathing practices and am working on creating more “downtime” in my life)
