At the very beginning of 2018 we looked at the definition of intention, and why it far surpasses a “resolution”. As a reminder, a resolution is a “firm decision to do or not do something” while intention is defined as an “aim or a plan.” What we realized was that, intentions are goals with powerful, uplifting emotions behind them.
In hope of inspiring you to think of your intentions for the New Year, I wanted to share mine, and what I already have in place to make them a reality.
In 2019 I intend to:
- Get myself and my family more involved with charitable work (to that end I have my charity chosen and a plan in mind)
- Do more consistent yoga (a new studio is opening in a town over from mine and I already bought a package)
- Save money more efficiently (I downloaded an app to help in that capacity)
- Clean out closets (I have a truck scheduled to come to the house Friday January 18th)
- Stress less (I have already been doing more breathing practices and am working on creating more “downtime” in my life)
